The 90-day do-over window
If you pick a new plan during open enrollment and change your mind, you have 90 days from January to change one more time, and it must be received by March 31.
Switching for cause
You can request Disenrollment for Cause at any time. Reasons include:
- You moved out of the service area
- The plan doesn't cover a service for moral or religious reasons
- Related services are not all available in network
- Your long-term services provider left the network
- Poor quality of care
- Lack of access to providers experienced with your needs
