How common is this benefit?

About 24% of 2026 Medicare Advantage plans offer a medical transportation benefit. So roughly three in four do not. Check your own plan's Evidence of Coverage before you rely on a ride.

What Nevada plans actually offer

• 24 or 36 one-way trips a year, or
• a $1,250 annual transportation allowance.

We previously said "24 to 52 one-way trips". That range was not what Nevada plans publish, and it has been corrected.

Claims we removed because we could not support them

• "Dialysis trips are often unlimited."
• "24–48 additional behavioral health trips."
• Bus passes through the regional transit system.
• The "48–72 hours advance notice" rule.

Your plan may well have a notice requirement — most transport programmes do — but the specific window comes from your plan, not from us. Call the number on your member card and ask how far ahead to book.

How to arrange a ride

Call your plan's member services, confirm how many trips or how much allowance you have left, and book through the transport vendor they name. Keep the confirmation.
