CareSource $25 Reward for Completing a Tobacco Cessation Program

What actually earns the $25

The reward is for completing a tobacco cessation programme. It is not a payment for having quit. We previously titled this page "Get $25 for Quitting Tobacco", which promised payment for an outcome the plan does not pay for — that has been corrected.

This is good news for most people: quitting usually takes several attempts, and the reward does not depend on your attempt succeeding.

Which programmes qualify

CareSource does not publish a list of approved programmes. We previously listed the Quitline, doctor-supervised programmes and community classes as approved. We could not substantiate that list, so it has been removed.

Before you enrol in anything, call CareSource and ask whether the specific programme you are considering will count for the reward.

A resource, either way

1-800-QUIT-NOW is free tobacco-quit coaching available to anyone in Nevada. It is worth using on its own merits. We are not presenting it as a guaranteed qualifying programme for the $25.

How CareSource pays you

Rewards are paid as retailer gift cards — Walmart, Old Navy and TJ Maxx — not as cash and not as a credit you can withdraw. Gift cards cannot be used for alcohol, tobacco or firearms.

Expiration

Rewards expire in mid-December of the following year, and your access to the rewards portal ends if you are disenrolled from CareSource. Redeem what you have earned rather than letting it sit.
