What HPN says — and how certain it is

HPN's own wording is that you may receive a $25 healthy food card. This page previously described it as something you would get; that overstated it. Treat it as possible, not promised, and ask before you count on it.

Requirement

You must be 18 or older.

What we removed, and why

We previously named Smith's, Albertsons, Walmart and farmers' markets, and listed which foods were eligible. HPN specifies neither the stores nor the items. Naming them risked sending you to a checkout where the card does not work. Ask HPN Member Services or a community health worker where the card can be used and what it covers.

Important: HPN's Medicaid service area changed on 1 January 2026

As of 1 January 2026, Health Plan of Nevada's Medicaid service area is urban Clark County only. Members in Washoe County and rural Clark County moved to CareSource. If you live in one of those areas, the benefits on this page are probably no longer yours — check which plan you are in now before you rely on anything here.

No. HPN's wording is that eligible members may receive it. Ask the plan whether you qualify.
Which stores accept it?
HPN does not publish a store list. Ask Member Services or a community health worker before you shop.

Yes — 18 and older.
