SilverSummit $50 Maternal Behavioral Health Reward: One Visit, Once a Year

This is easier to earn than it sounds

The $50 is for a single qualifying visit — one appointment for a perinatal mental health or substance use concern. You do not have to complete a treatment programme. If another page told you otherwise, that was wrong, and it made an achievable reward sound out of reach.

What is required

• A Notification of Pregnancy form must be on file with SilverSummit. This is the step most often missed.
• One qualifying behavioral health visit during pregnancy or postpartum.

The limit

Once per year — not once per pregnancy.

If you are pregnant or recently gave birth and something feels wrong emotionally, or you are struggling with substance use, that first appointment is the whole requirement. Ask your provider or SilverSummit for help submitting the Notification of Pregnancy form.

How the My Health Pays card actually works

Rewards load onto a My Health Pays prepaid card. It is not a card you can use anywhere Visa debit is accepted — SilverSummit says so plainly, and this is where most members lose value.

Permitted uses: utilities, transportation, telecommunications (phone and internet), childcare, education, rent, and Walmart in-store.

Not permitted: grocers, gas stations and pharmacies are not on SilverSummit's approved list. The card also cannot be used for alcohol, tobacco or firearms.

Funds expire — this is how people lose money they earned

Your balance expires 90 days after your coverage ends, or 365 days after the reward was earned, whichever comes first. Medicaid coverage lapses at redetermination more often than for any other reason, so spend the balance rather than saving it.
