What is Medicaid Fee-for-Service?+
It's traditional Medicaid administered directly by the State of Nevada (DHCFP). Your card is blue and you can see any provider enrolled with Nevada Medicaid. There's no restricted network but also no extra benefits like adult dental or rides.
How do I know if I have FFS or a managed care plan?+
If your card only says 'Nevada Medicaid' (blue) and doesn't mention Anthem, Molina, SilverSummit or CareSource, you likely have FFS. We help you check.
Does FFS cover adult dental?+
Not routinely. FFS covers emergency adult dental only. For cleanings, fillings and preventive dental, you'd need to switch to a managed care plan (MCO) that includes it.
Can I switch from FFS to a managed care plan?+
